Privacy policy

In short

This is a static site. There are no forms, no user accounts, no analytics and no tracking cookies. We do not collect your data and we do not sell it to anyone.

The only case in which the site contacts an external server is loading fonts from Google’s servers — and only if you explicitly allow it.

What data the site collects

The site itself collects no personal data. There are no contact forms, newsletter sign-ups, comments or registration.

Like any web server, the server hosting this site records technical access data: IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested and browser information. These logs exist solely for the operation and security of the server, are processed by the hosting provider, and are not used to profile visitors.

Cookies and local storage

The site sets no cookies for tracking, advertising or statistics.

If you make a choice about loading fonts, that choice is stored in your browser’s local storage (localStorage) on your own device. The entry contains only the word “accepted” or “declined”, is never sent anywhere, and you can remove it at any time by clearing site data in your browser.

You can change your choice at any time via the Cookie settings link in the page footer.

Fonts from Google’s servers

For typography the site may load fonts from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. During that request Google learns your IP address and basic browser information. For that reason the fonts are loaded only after you consent.

If you do not consent, or decline, the site uses fonts already present on your device and sends no request to Google or any other external server.

Links to other sites

The site links to scientific databases, publishers and colleagues’ sites (PubMed, Springer, Amazon and similar). Once you open such a link, that site is responsible for your data under its own privacy policy. We have no insight into or control over what they collect.

Downloading papers as PDF

PDF papers are downloaded directly from this server. Downloads are not tracked, not logged separately, and require no information about you.

Your rights

Since the site keeps no database of personal data, in most cases there is no data about you for us to show or delete.

If you contact us by e-mail, we keep your message and address only as long as needed to reply and continue the correspondence. You may at any time ask to see that correspondence, to correct it or to have it deleted — simply write to the address above.

Changes to this policy

If the way the site works changes, this text will be updated and a new date entered at the top of the page.
